What we do, what you pay, and what you own.
These terms cover the audit, the website build and the monthly retainer. Where a signed contract exists it says the same things in the same order — if the two ever disagree, the signed contract wins.
Scope
The audit is free. We put roughly 144 real buyer questions to ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity and send you a two-page report of where you appear, where you do not, and who was named instead. That is the whole deliverable. You are not obliged to buy anything and we do not require a call.
The build is a hand-coded static site — HTML and CSS written by hand, not assembled in a page builder — with structured data and metadata on every page, a sitemap, an llms.txt, Google Analytics 4 and Search Console connected, and your Google Business Profile rebuilt.
The retainer re-runs the same audit every month and reports the movement, question by question, with content and structured data updated as the answers shift.
Anything not written in the quote is not in scope. If you want something added we will quote it separately rather than absorb it and resent it.
What we cannot promise
We cannot guarantee rankings, traffic or leads. AI answers change week to week and nobody controls them.
We have no relationship with OpenAI, Google or Perplexity and we cannot influence their answers. What we can do is make sure there is something accurate for them to read, and measure what happens after. Any claim beyond that would be a lie.
Payment
Builds are invoiced as a deposit to start and the balance on go-live. Retainers are invoiced monthly in advance.
All amounts are in Australian dollars and include GST. Invoices are due within seven days. If an invoice is 14 days overdue we may stop work, and we will tell you in writing before we do.
Specific amounts, the deposit percentage and any late fee sit in your quote and invoice, not on this page.
Ownership
You own your domain, your content, your analytics and your code. Cancel with 30 days notice and we hand it all over.
Ownership of the finished site passes to you on final payment. Until then it stays ours, which matters only if an invoice goes unpaid.
Your domain, hosting, analytics and Google accounts are set up in your name from the start. We hold access to do the work, not to keep it. There is no administrator lock, no hostage hosting and no fee to leave.
We may describe the work publicly as a case study, including figures from your audits, only if you agree in writing first.
Ending it
The retainer is month to month. Either of us can end it with 30 days notice in writing. There is no exit fee and no minimum term.
If you cancel a build partway through, you pay for the work done to that point and we hand over what exists, in the state it exists.
Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate information — licence numbers, trading hours, service areas. We publish what you tell us, and the machines read it as fact.
- Supply photos and copy you have the right to use. If you send us something you do not own, that is on you.
- Review the staging link within the window set out in the quote. Silence past that window reads as approval and we go live.
Liability and law
Nothing here removes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Where we are liable for anything else, our liability is capped at the fees you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia, and disputes go to the courts of that state.
